Recommended product: Standard 12μm single/double sided PET aluminized flat foil blanket, most common for standard first aid kits.

Key parameters (standard grade): 12μm (0.012mm) food grade new PET film vacuum aluminized (coating thickness ≥400 angstrom), open size 160×210cm (adult standard, also available 130/140/150×210cm), heat reflectivity ≥90%, reflects over 80% of body radiated heat to prevent hypothermia; folded size ~10×7×1.5cm, unit weight 42-52g, individual 8-wire OPP bag with printing, fits standard first aid kit compartments. Procurement note: Compact, lightweight, low cost for mass kit packing; standard for car kits, home first aid kits, civil defense kits; this is single-use emergency grade, not intended for repeated long term use. Recommended product: Standard 12μm silver/orange reversible blanket + hooded foil poncho, for mass issue to affected populations.

Key parameters: Same 12μm aluminized PET; poncho style has attached hood and side heat sealed seams (seal width ≥5mm), one size fits most adults (130×100cm open), unit weight 60-70g; bright orange side for high visibility; flat blankets for individual issue, ponchos for wet/cold weather distribution, both individual packed for direct handout. Key parameters: 25μm extra thick tear resistant PET film; tube tent style is 240×150cm triangular shelter, includes 4 pieces 3m length 2mm nylon guy line (single line pull ≥5kg) and 4 pieces 12cm new PP plastic ground pegs (single peg 10kg pressure no break), sets up in 2 minutes between trees/poles, fits 2 adults for emergency wind/light rain shelter; olive drab/silver reversible for field use; unit weight 180-220g. Foil Blanket Specific Procurement Risks & Our Controls

• Thickness under gauge: Cheap sellers label 12μm but actually ship 8-10μm film that tears instantly when unfolded; we measure every production batch with micrometer, thickness tolerance ±1μm, sealed sample thickness confirmed before bulk, reject any under-gauge film.
• Thin uneven aluminum coating: Cheap aluminizing uses <300 angstrom coating with thin spots or missing coating that does not reflect heat; our standard coating is ≥400 angstrom, uniform across the film, reflectivity ≥90% tested per batch, no large uncoated areas.
• Severe size shorting: Cheap sellers label 160×210cm but actually ship 130×210cm, 30cm too short to cover most adults; we cut to full stated size, finished size tolerance ±3cm, measured before packing, no short sizing.

• Misrepresented as reusable blanket: 12μm standard blankets are single use emergency grade; we clearly grade 12μm as single use, 16μm as limited careful reuse, 25μm as multiple use, no overpromising.

All film is 100% new virgin PET, no recycled brittle smelly film; all units printed with safety warning to keep away from open flame, store below 45°C.

Standard 12μm grade: thickness 12μm ±1μm, size 160×210cm ±3cm, coating ≥400 angstrom, reflectivity ≥90%, R5 rounded corners, 8-wire OPP bag, unit weight 42-52g ±3g; passes -10°C 10x fold no crack; single use emergency grade, for kit packing and mass distribution.

Heavy duty 16μm grade: thickness 16μm ±1μm, more tear resistant, can be carefully reused 3-5 times; bivvy bag style has heat sealed seams ≥6mm, 10N pull no split, includes nylon stuff sack.

Extra heavy 25μm grade: thickness 25μm ±1μm, tear resistant for multiple use; tube tent includes 4×3m 2mm nylon guy lines and 4×12cm new PP pegs, seams reinforced.

Critical safety limits (to avoid injury and liability): PET film softens at approximately 60°C, melts at ~120°C and will burn. This product is NOT a fire blanket, never use to cover fires or place near open flame, hot surfaces, heaters, sparks or direct high heat. Do not store in car interiors in summer where temperatures can exceed 60°C, film may stick together or deform. It is for passive thermal reflection only, not an active heat source; 5-8°C warmth is reference value only, not a guaranteed temperature rating. 12μm standard film is single use emergency grade, not for repeated long term use, not a substitute for regular bedding or sleeping bags. Provides temporary light rain protection only, not waterproof for heavy or prolonged rain. Do not pull hard on sharp edges as film can tear; always supervise children using these products, keep away from mouth/nose to avoid suffocation.

Distribution and Stockholding Change the Packing Decision

Individual issue

Confirm the quantity per person, single-pack label, instruction language, and pieces per carton. For delivery to several sites, show the quantity for each destination on the packing list to reduce reopening and redistribution after arrival.

Emergency-kit or mixed-supply packing

Provide the available inner-pack space, quantity per kit, and packing sequence with the other items. The blanket still needs its own product name, specification, and quantity rather than being hidden inside one generic “emergency kit” description.

Warehouse stock followed by staged release

Confirm the count relationship between the single pack, inner carton, and outer carton, together with batch identification, label language, and destination marks. Receiving teams should be able to reconcile carton quantities with the number of units available for issue.

In addition to the total quantity, provide the beneficiary or issue-unit count, quantity for each site, label language, project marking, and required shipping documents. When deliveries are split, use the same site names and quantity basis in the quotation and packing list.

Wholesalers, distributors, and private-label programs

Confirm the single-pack appearance, product code, barcode or label fields, pieces per carton, and repeat-order identification. Private-label content should be approved in the sample record and packing list rather than assumed from a previous order. Custom logo printing plate fee quoted separately for orders under 1000pcs.

Packaging, Storage & Marking

Packaging Standard

Each blanket/poncho/bivvy/tent individually packed in 8-wire printed OPP bag with safety warning and instructions; standard 12μm flat blankets 500pcs per carton, carton size 50×40×30cm, gross weight 25-27kg; other styles packed per size, custom packing available. Desiccant added for long term storage orders.

Storage Requirement

Store in cool dry place below 45°C, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and sharp objects; do not leave in closed car interiors in summer where high heat can deform or stick film. Original unopened packaging remains usable for 5 years under proper dry storage; avoid storing near high heat or chemicals which can degrade film.

Marking & Multi-location Delivery

All cartons marked with batch number, style, quantity, destination and handling marks; multi-site orders use color-coded labels per location, separate packing lists per consignment to avoid mixing.

Remove Common Mismatches Before Ordering

1. Treating a foil emergency blanket as a fire blanket: a personal emergency cover must not be specified for covering a fire merely because both products use the word “blanket.” Fire-suppression use requires a dedicated material, applicable standard, and corresponding test documentation; PET film softens at 60°C, melts and burns near high heat, never use near open flame.
2. Treating a foil blanket as a textile bed blanket: the material, thickness, care, storage form, and acceptance fields are different and require separate quotations.
3. Writing only “space blanket” without a physical option: the same term may cover different films, surfaces, and packs, so attach a link, image, or approved sample.
4. Confirming the open size but not the folded pack: the blanket may meet the coverage need but fail to fit the selected kit or carton.
5. Leaving the one- or two-sided decision until bulk production: lock the surface construction in the sample and written specification rather than relying on colour wording.
6. Using marketing words as acceptance criteria: requirements such as “thermal,” “durable,” or “waterproof” need a stated test item, method, and acceptance basis; foil blankets only resist light temporary rain, not heavy prolonged rain.
7. Giving only one total for a mixed order: each product category still requires its own specification, quantity per kit, packing, and acceptance basis.

What to Check on the Approval Sample

1. Material and surfaces: compare the written material name, one- or two-sided construction, colour of each face, coating uniformity and surface appearance.
2. Open condition: measure length and width in the agreed orientation, check for 30cm size shorting, inspect rounded corners, heat seals, edges, and visible irregularities after unfolding.
3. Folded condition: record the required folded length, width, and thickness and verify fit inside the intended inner pack, first-aid kit, or carton.
4. Single pack: check the OPP bag thickness, seal, product name, specification, quantity, label language, instructions, safety warning and project marking.
5. Accessory check: for bivvies confirm stuff sack included; for tube tents confirm all 4 guy lines and 4 pegs are included and not brittle.
6. Packing trial: complete the proposed inner- and outer-carton trial before confirming carton dimensions, net weight, gross weight, and volume.
7. Project performance: where the procurement document requires tear resistance, water resistance, low temperature performance or another property, agree on the method, sampling, and acceptance basis before production.

Connect Sample Approval, Packing, and Receiving Inspection

1. Use a target link, image, or physical description to identify the product option before arranging a sample.
2. Use the same product name and revision date on the approval sample, written specification, label artwork, and packing list.
3. For third-party inspection or testing, agree on the item, method, sampling, cost, and report scope before production.
4. Take bulk-inspection samples from different cartons and check surfaces, dimensions, folding, seal strength, single-pack labels, accessories and pieces per carton under the sampling method agreed in the contract.
